I have had Retiever since 2010, an agent came to me and told me they could save me money, after a free analysis, they showed me they could save me a significant amount of money. I should have paid better attetnion, but I never received a statement from them. In Feb 2012 I had to do my online pic complaince and needed help with it, so I called them up on the phone. I mentioned to the person on the phone that I had never received a statement. She looked into it and stated I had not been set up for paper statements or online access to statements. She walked me through it, and I was able to gain access to my online statements. What a surprise I had. I had been getting charged $5.00 a month for paper statements I never received. I asked the woman on the phone, and she stated that yes, I never received statements, but because of the way account was set up, I was being charged for them, nothing could be done about that. Then I noticed fees ranging from $100.00 to $300 a month for Data Omission Fees, When I questioned this I was told that if all information the credit machine asked for wasn't put into machine I would be charged these fees. I asked her why I had not been notifed of this and was told I was through my statements, I reminded her that I had not been getting any statements and she said yes, I had not received the statements., but they had been generated so therefore I had been notified. I am switching to another company.

Thank you for the inputs guys, I got a call recently from an "independent" marketing company who wants to inform us the best rates we can get from visa and mastercard, I was skeptical but they assured me they dont sell payment services, they just inform people. Cool ! So I send them an extract of my actual rates for analysis, then 2 days after a guy calls me from Axxess telling me I can benefit of very low rates right now, that it doesnt matter if I have already another contract, they pay everything and even better than being the cheapest alternative ever existing, they offer me a laptop ! But I have to sign some electronic documents in like 24h to have all this ! Too good to be true ? You bet, when you see low low rates, promisses, pressure to sign fast and valuable gifts on the top !
In the past I was trapped for 5 years with a crooks company, Niko Atm, so I learned that in this industry its better to go safe with big, serious players.

We are a new business and have not had any complaints. Just recently out of the blue, Google Checkout stated that they were freezing the account and would in fact hold onto our funds even after the shipment had been processed and received. They provide no phone numbers, no live person that you can speak with, it is as though they are scamming everyone else, at random, as they please. For a company that states "We do no Evil", they are about as low down as you can get. We have moved to another service, but still remain in limbo as to what our recourse may be and how in fact we can receive the funds that are ours. We provided a service, the customer paid, the customer received and no one filed a complaint. Where is there any ethical behavior on Google's part?

Get your lawyer involved and see what he OR she can do. These guys try to scare the customer, they told me I would owe about 35,000 based on my volume the expected... I never even began use of the units before I found out I didn't want to do business with this company. Don't back down, get your lawyer involved and get out of the contract, get your lawyer to look at this site and see how this company is treating people.

Hi Laura,

Thank you for the comment. I have approved it since it might have useful information for merchants. All reviews are updated every 12 to 18 months and the information you have provided will be verified for the next update. May I ask what your role is at WorldPay? You left your comment from a yahoo.com email address which suggests that you might be an independent agent.

As for the rate advertising. I have deemed this type of marketing as deceptive because it suggests to merchants that all of their transactions will experience such a rate, especially to naive new business owners. Even if a merchant was to experience the advertised rate, it would likely only occur if the merchant was set up with Interchange-plus pricing and transacted a particular type of debit card. Overall, a minuscule percentage of cards would run at the advertised rate. In my opinion, it is more ethical to not advertise rates at all than to advertise unrealistic and misleading rates.

Lastly, the majority of merchants do not understand the difference between tiered pricing schemes and Interchange-plus pricing. As a former agent, I can say with absolute certainty that Interchange-plus is always the best and fairest pricing option. The various tiered pricing programs are designed to protect a provider's profit margins while giving the merchants a slight savings and the impression that they are getting a good deal.

I have been working as an agent with Capital Bancard for about a year now.
I can honestly say they are a they are a great company to work with!
They have a wonderful support team, the merchants are always very happy with the help they get if they need it. This is a company that really seems to care about their agents and it's merchants!

I am trying to figure out why this company is withdrawing money out of my acount twice a month. They told me that my interest rate would be .15 percent of every transaction and .20 cents processing fee per transaction but they didn't tell me about all of the extra fees and extra percentages off that were being taken off on top of the .15 percent. Plus I have more then one person on my terminal and the girl that works for me was told that she wouldn't get charged any monthly fees for her use of the machine and that it was already taken care of because I was paying it on my account and she also gets charged twice a month with fees. They will not call me back and I can't ever seem to get in touch with anybody. I wish there was some way we could all file a lawsuit against this company. It might only put a small dent in there pockets but anything would help. Maybe let them see that it doesn't feel so good when the shoe's is on the other foot.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM - as if their customer service isn't bad enough, they lock you into a very expensive lease agreement, with insurance, ontop of the equipment cost. THEY DON'T LET YOU OUT OF any contracts. I returned my unit, UNUSED, and they say they never received it, and have continued to charge me over the years for something I don't have and don't use. How can they have an A+ rating with BBB? - They paid for it, that's how.

I own a small business and we are in our first year of business in a new location, having operated in our previous town for 7 years i never used a credit card processing company, i dealt in cheques and cash and the occasional money order. after moving we decided it was time to start using and credit card machine, we called our bank and they sent us to chase paymentech who offered us a call in credit card service for low fees and a flexible contract, it worked but it was tedious. Axxess called us one day and said they not only could get us a chip and swipe machine making my job easier but could also offer us lower rates and a 1000 dollar gift card for gas or groceries, after moving and paying for my new property this would have helped immensely. I signed an agreement for a plan that was just as flexible as my one with chase in December of 2011 and they said i would not get billed for any fees until march 2012 and they would also pay for my cancellation fee with chase. Axxess charged me in January and February and i still hadn't received my 1000 dollar gift card. i called Axxess to find out was going on and they said they would handle it and get back to me in a day, i had to call them after a week. after that i discussed with my partners and decided we would cancel or plan with them, Axxess said if i wanted to cancel it would cost me the full amount of our contract, 5 years at 75 bucks amount, just about 5000 dollars . i said this was unnaceptable and that if they didn't agree to their side of our contract i would have to go to my lawyers and force action, their rep threatened me saying that i didnt want to mess with their lawyers and that they would crush my business. Axxess are liars and made me walk right into their trap. now im stuck in a 5 year contract and have no idea if anything is going to be resolved.
