SumUp, a European mobile payment processor, announced that it has expanded its services into Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. In addition to expanding services, the company has also opened new sales offices in Milan, Madrid and Amsterdam.
The service was launched in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and Austria earlier this year. With the addition of these new markets, SumUp is now offered in a total of seven countries and is one of the few European mobile processors to accept both Visa and Mastercard payments.
SumUp was officially launched in August 2012, thanks to $20 million in investments from Shortcut Ventures, B-to-V Partners, Tengelmann Ventures and Klaus Hommels.
