Visa has concluded the beta testing phase of its digital wallet platform, V.me. The company has announced that more than 50 financial organizations (including PNC and U.S. Bank) and 23 merchant partners have signed up to use its platform. Some of the merchants who have signed on include MovieTickets.com, 1-800-Flowers and PacSun.
V.me is an online and mobile platform that allows consumers to store their credit and debit card information digitally. Shoppers can then use V.me to check out and pay when online shopping.
Currently, V.me supports Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards. In 2013, Visa plans to offer V.me point-of-sale systems and mobile payment services.
