We have been unable to locate any reviews accusing PayHub Payments of being a scam or a ripoff. While the company receives primarily positive feedback on various consumer protection websites, a few negative reviews mention poor communication from customer service. PayHub Payment Processing Online Ratings

Here's How They Rate Online

Online Ratings Summary
BBB Reports 0

No Dedicated BBB Profile

PayHub Payment Processing is not listed with the Better Business Bureau, though one of its merger companies, NPD Payroll, is. As of this review, NPD Payroll does not have a rating with the BBB and has had one complaint filed against it in the last year. The complaint filed against NPD Payroll has not been answered by the company, and the BBB indicates that it has withheld a rating because NPD Payroll is likely no longer in business. Despite the fact that the address on this BBB profile matches the address on the PayHub Payment Processing website, we will not treat this profile as the profile for PayHub Payment Processing for the time being.

No Rating Assigned

We agree with the BBB’s decision to withhold a rating at this time because it seems that the BBB does not have a clear grasp of the PayHub Payment Processing’s current status. Readers should still be aware that there are good reasons to be skeptical of any NPD Payroll or PayHub Payment Processing BBB profile that may be published.

PayHub Payment Processing Fees, Rates & Costs

A Closer Look at The Contract

Cost & Fees Summary
Cancellation Penalties Yes
Monthly & Annual Fees Yes
Processing Rates Variable

PayHub Payment Processing Pricing

At the time of a previous update, the PayHub Payment Processing included some of the company’s pricing: 2.39% + $0.20 per swiped transaction and 3.29% + $.30 per keyed-in transaction, with a $15 monthly fee on all accounts. Additionally, the PayHub Payment Processing credit card processing contract (available below) is a standard First Data (Fiserv) contract. This means that it is a three-year agreement with automatic renewal. It may also include an early termination fee, a PCI Compliance fee, a monthly minimum fee, a non-cancellable equipment lease, and other various fees. The First Data (Fiserv) standard early termination fee is $95, while its PCI compliance fee is $19.95 per month. The spaces for precise figures have been left blank in the document we located, indicating that these amounts will likely vary depending on the agent setting up the account and a business’ size, business type, and time in business.

No Pricing Complaints

Although this contract has the potential to be either very competitive or very costly, the lack of client complaints about PayHub Payment Processing seems to indicate that most of the company’s clients are satisfied with their rates and fees. PayHub Payment Processing’s listed rates are about industry average, but potential clients should still compare its pricing to the cheapest merchant accounts. Raders are also advised to read their applications and their program guides carefully to ensure that they understand all applicable fees. See the PayHub merchant agreement or the PayHub program guide.

Independent Sales Agents

PayHub Payment Processing appears to utilize strategic partnerships, a referral program, and independent sales agents to market its services. The use of independent sales agents is typically tied to elevated complaint rates for clients, but we are currently unable to locate any PayHub Payment Processing reviews that accuse the company’s sales reps of unethical conduct.

No Deceptive Advertising

As an additional point in the company’s favor, PayHub Payment Processing also does not appear to engage in deceptive advertising strategies in its official materials. If you suspect that you have had undisclosed charges added to your PayHub Payment Processing contract, we recommend seeking a third-party statement audit to eliminate hidden fees.

I am very pleased with Payhub Payments and my local contact Montana Armata! I did not have any experience with Merchant Services before this year and initially went with a provider which had very high rates. Fortunately, I met Montana through a BNI group and after spending 1/2 hour learning about my business, she provided me with the perfect plan at about 1/10th of the costs! This has been one less thing to worry about. I have received personal 1:1 training from Dan in the main office and unbelievable customer service. They pick up their phones, know the product, are pleasant and promptly assist with addressing questions. Kudos!

    Performance Specialties

My bank flagged them when trying to pull money out of my account for processing. They thought it was fraud. It was under $700.00. They then held hostage my deposits for the tune of $11000.00 . I have spent multiple phone calls trying to just pay them directly. They will not accept payment. I have spent hours at the bank trying to get a letter to reassure them my accounts have no problem. We are now going on a week of them holding my money. I have contacted a lawyer to get my money.

BEWARE!!!!!! These people are extremely difficult to get in touch with. They keep charging me 6 months after I canceled. They sent a form for me to fill out and fax. I did that 3 months ago. Still getting charged. Expect a refund but I think these people are crooked. So I am reporting them!
