Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems Fees, Rates & Costs
A Closer Look at The Contract
|Monthly & Annual Fees||Yes|
|Processing Rates||1.00% - 4.99%|
Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems Contract Terms
The standard Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems contract is a three-year contract through Synovus Bank with automatic one-year renewals and a liquidated damages early termination fee that is calculated as follows:
(1) computing the number of months remaining from the date of termination to the end of the then current Initial or Renewal Term; and
(2) multiplying that number by the average monthly Processing Fees over the most recent six (6) months; and then
(3) adding costs and attorneys’ fees of Bank.
This contract also makes reference to the possibility of third-party equipment leases. Business owners are generally advised not to lease equipment, as these agreements tend to be long-term, non-cancellable contracts that cost far more than the purchase price of the equipment.
No Contract Complaints
There are no recent public complaints about the Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems rates, but their contract terms are objectively not competitive with the cheapest merchant accounts. We have assigned the company a “B” on the basis of its generally clean complaint record combined with its plainly restrictive contract terms.

Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems appears to rely on a combination of independent resellers and in-house staff to market its services. We are unable to locate any Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems complaints that report unethical behavior by the company’s sales staff. One Atlantic-Pacific Processing Systems review was filed regarding a sales agent’s conduct, but the company satisfactorily demonstrated that the complaint had mistakenly been filed against the wrong party.
