Cyndigo Review
UPDATED 12/21/2018: The Cyndigo website is no longer active, and the company appears to have closed. If you have any knowledge of whether Cyndigo is still active (including any rebrandings or DBAs), please leave that information in the comment section of this review.
Cyndigo (gocyndigo.com) is a merchant account provider headquartered in Brea, California. The company claims to be “powered by” First Data, indicating that it is likely a reseller of First Data contracts. There is also some evidence that Cyndigo is under the same ownership as or was once affiliated with SalonSwipe. The company offers debit and credit card processing, loyalty cards, point-of-sale devices, and more. Cyndigo also offers customized solutions for restaurants, convenience stores, bakeries, supermarkets, gas stations, and country clubs. Cyndigo is a registered ISO/MSP of Wells Fargo Bank N.A., in Walnut Creek, California, and the company is located at 1033 E Imperial Hwy E9, Brea, California 92821.
Cyndigo Customer Reviews
Here's What Their Clients Say
We are currently able to locate three Cyndigo complaints, one of which describes the company as a ripoff or a scam. All three complaints are related to difficulty canceling the company’s service, and they all express an inability to reach a customer service representative to resolve the issue in a timely fashion. While this is a low complaint rate even for a smaller company like Cyndigo, the recurring theme of poor customer service is a major factor lowering the company’s grade in this category. Cyndigo’s website lists a dedicated phone number and email address; it is unclear at this time whether these lines of communication lead to First Data, SalonSwipe, or Cyndigo.
Cyndigo Online Ratings
Here's How They Rate Online
As of this review, Cyndigo is not listed with the Better Business Bureau. It is unclear whether the company might be listed under another name, and we do not have a great deal of information about the company’s complaint history and contract terms. We will therefore not factor a BBB rating into the company’s overall score at this time.
Cyndigo Fees, Rates & Costs
A Closer Look at The Contract
There is very little information available about the standard Cyndigo contract at this time. Despite a company representative’s insistence that the two companies are not connected, we are able to locate complaints posted as recently as August 2013 that link Cyndigo to SalonSwipe. This indicates that the company’s contract terms may be similar to those of SalonSwipe, which processes through First Data. The only contract term we have seen quoted in a merchant complaint is a $15 monthly minimum fee, but this is unconfirmed and may vary from merchant to merchant. If you have any knowledge of the standard Cyndigo contract, including early termination fees, PCI Compliance fees, rate structure, and standard service length, please leave that information in the comment section of this review.
Cyndigo Employee Reviews & Sales Tacitcs
Should You Work For Them?
Cyndigo appears to primarily market its services through its website and traditional advertising. It is unclear at this time whether the company employs independent sales agents or partners with sub-ISOs. We cannot currently locate any negative Cyndigo reviews that accuse the company’s sales team of unethical conduct, and Cyndigo does not appear to engage in any deceptive advertising strategies in its official materials. We are therefore awarding the company an “A+” rating at this time.
Our Cyndigo Review Summary
Our Final Thoughts
According to all available information, Cyndigo rates as a reliable merchant services provider. The company is showing only three complaints across all consumer protection websites at this time, but we currently do not have any specific information about its contract terms. According to some merchant complaints, Cyndigo’s clients can expect service through SalonSwipe. As always, merchants are advised to read their contract terms carefully.

I called 10 months ago to have my merchant account closed after having it for over 5 years. They told me my account was closed and I would be credited on my next bank statement. That was a lie. Not only was i not credited I have been charged around 15.00 a month since for nothing. The account has not been used. Not only that, I have spent numerous hours on hold, talked to many workers and have left my name and number for a call back numerous times. I wopuld definitely give this company a bad review!!!!!
