Serving Standard and High-Risk Merchants

Founded in 2006, Passthrough Payments is a merchant account provider that specializes in serving hard-to-place business types. At least one current employee of Passthrough Payments is a former employee of Vericomm, and both companies are based in Valencia, California. This may indicate that Passthrough Payments has inherited some or all of Vericomm’s team and infrastructure.

No Public Complaints

We are currently unable to locate any Passthrough Payments reviews that accuse the company of being a ripoff or a scam. This stands in stark contrast to Vericomm’s performance in this category. This seems to indicate that Passthrough Payments either employs a proactive and available customer support team or is very small. If you have your own Passthrough Payments review to make, please do so in the comments below.

Passthrough Payments Lawsuits

We have not found any outstanding class-action lawsuits or FTC complaints filed against Passthrough Payments. Dissatisfied merchants who wish to pursue a non-litigious course of action against the company should consider reporting it to the relevant supervisory organizations.

Passthrough Payments Contract Terms

There is no publicly available information about the standard Passthrough Payments contract at this time. It is likely that the company customizes its pricing and terms according to each merchant’s business type, location, and processing history. The company’s wide range of preferred merchant types means that it could offer long-term equipment leases for certain merchants’ needs. It also advertises a cash discount pricing program, which can theoretically diminish a merchant’s credit card fees to nearly nothing.

High Risk, High Fees

High-risk payment processors tend to charge higher-than-average rates due to the increased risk of chargebacks in high-risk industries. They may also enforce cash reserves to insulate themselves from fraud losses. High-risk merchants should therefore expect to receive stricter contract terms when processing payments through Passthrough Payments. We also encourage merchants to check out our list of the providers of the best merchant accounts.

No Red Flags

The total absence of Passthrough Payments complaints about the company’s contract terms merits an “A” in this category, but it should be noted that we are assigning this grade without any verified knowledge of specific pricing. It is difficult to assess at this time whether Passthrough Payments’ contract terms are competitive with the cheapest merchant accounts.

Inside/Outside Sales Team

Passthrough Payments appears to rely on a combination of independent resellers and in-house staff to market its services. There is no evidence at this time indicating that the company employs independent sales agents, and we are unable to locate any Passthrough Payments reviews that report unethical behavior by the company’s sales staff. This compares favorably to our list of best credit card processors.

No Misleading Quotes

Passthrough Payments does not appear to engage in any deceptive advertising strategies in its official materials. If you suspect that you are being charged undisclosed Passthrough Payments fees, we recommend seeking a third-party statement audit to eliminate hidden charges.

Our Final Thoughts

A Reliable Option for Most Merchants

According to all available information, Passthrough Payments rates as a dependable merchant services provider. There is not a lot of specific information available about the company’s sales tactics or contract terms at this time, but its clean complaint record is a very positive sign. Even when dealing with companies that rate highly by our standards, we urge merchants to thoroughly examine the terms of any contract they are given and to compare its pricing to top-rated merchant account providers.

This company is a fraud. Do not do business with this processor. Misrepresentation all the way. Watch out for Brent Posada. Do not take his word for anything. He will lie to you about there charges.

This is an awesome Credit card and Echeck provider. They have saved my company from going out of business and got me back up and accepting payments when my processor unexpectedly shut me down. I know Kyle, Brian and Louis personally and I highly recommend this company for any Cash advance or payment processing needs.
