PAYARC Complaints

In some PAYARC reviews, we have located a couple of complaints regarding a poor service experience and an undisclosed early termination fee of $500 that was only mentioned in the fine print of the business owner’s merchant account agreement.

The company has a couple of dozen positive testimonials which this reviewer finds suspicious in nature. Nearly all of the positive reviews were left in 2019, are the first review ever written by the reviewer, and use a lot of marketing buzzwords that seem more likely to come from industry insiders than actual business owners. If you have had a positive experience with PAYARC, please let us know in the comment section below.

PAYARC Lawsuits

We have not found any outstanding class-action lawsuits or FTC complaints filed against PAYARC. Dissatisfied business owners who wish to pursue a non-litigious course of action against the company should consider reporting it to the relevant supervisory organizations and by leaving a review of your own in the comment section of this article below.

PAYARC Fees, Rates & Costs

A Closer Look at The Contract

Cost & Fees Summary
Swiped Rate Variable
Keyed-in Rate Variable
Early Termination Fee Yes
Equipment Lease Terms Undisclosed

Unclear Merchant Account Terms

PAYARC does not list any of its merchant account pricing online. Transparency in rates, fees, and contract terms is one of our requirements to be ranked as a trustworthy merchant services provider on this website. While we have located only a handful of complaints associated with fees and contract terms, the lack of clearly presented pricing information prevents PAYARC from receiving a five-star rating.

Negotiate Contract Pricing

We have not been able to locate a PAYARC merchant account contract at this time. New customers who have recently signed up for payment services through PAYARC are encouraged to leave a customer review below describing their experience. Business owners are also encouraged to negotiate their merchant account pricing and contract terms, and to read all documents thoroughly before signing for PAYARC’S merchant services.

PAYARC Employee Reviews & Sales Tacitcs

Should You Work For Them?

Jobs & Marketing Summary
Employs Independent Resellers No
Advertises Deceptive Rates No
Discloses All Important Terms No

No Evidence of Independent Sales Teams

Currently, we cannot locate any concerning job posts or complaints indicating the company utilizes independent or outside sales representatives. We also cannot locate any complaints directly related to its sales practices or indications of misleading merchant account quotes.

PAYARC Termination Fees

We did find one recent complaint pertaining to a $500 termination fee that the business owner was not aware of. A response from the company claims the fee and penalties are clearly laid out in the merchant contract terms.

PAYARC Lacks Rate & Fee Transparency

PAYARC has very little information regarding its pricing available online. This usually indicates that the company markets tiered or “bucket” rate merchant account contracts. Typically, such merchant accounts are more expensive than other pricing models, such as Interchange-plus pricing. At this time we cannot comment on the cost of PAYARC’s rates due to the lack of information supplied by the company. If you have information regarding PAYARC’s credit card processing fees, rate, or contract terms, please leave a comment below.

Our PAYARC Review Summary

Our Final Thoughts

Needs More Transparency

Generally a company with as many positive reviews as PAYARC has received would rank highly in our review criteria. The overall lack of concrete information is the one major issue concerning PAYARC’s current score. While we would feel PAYARC would serve as a competent payment service provider, it would be more reassuring to have pricing figures available to the public.  We will be looking for more PAYARC customer reviews in the future to corroborate their performance. At this time we are awarding PAYARC 4 out of 5 stars. With minor improvements, PAYARC could potentially be a top-rated provider.

They lie! They want your business and they are very vague with fee structure. They have multiple fees coming out per transaction and trying to balance what has been processed is an accounting nightmare.I only did business with them for 3 months. Two months later they took $500 from my checking as an early termination fee. I only received a notification in the mail today. They are horrible!!!

Same thing $500 early cancellation fee. Was taken from my bank account on 3/4/2024. call and ask what was for, after 2 calls got email saying cancellation fee. Asked when i cancelled? Was told 06/27/2023. Sent copy of rule 4.1 stating early cancellation of 3 year contract, be charged $500. Then asked when i opened the account, took 2 more phone calls, got email stating was opened on 05/26/2023. My figures that is 31 days!!! Brought that to their attention, was then informed my refund was ok’d but wouldn’t be paid till the end of the month!!!!!! Guess should be happy only 1 month to get money back, took them 10 months to try rip my off for $500

I do believe the comment above mine was industry generated as referenced in the article. Payarc does not explain their fee structure. They are more expensive then most in the industry. They charge fees per transaction from your bank account with multiple debits per transaction coming out of your account making it a nightmare for account reconciliation. They also take days to credit your account for the transaction deposits but debit the fees immediately. I cancelled with Payarc in less then 30 days of having them as soon as i discovered this. They continued debiting our account for monthly fees for four months after cancellation. And now today, six months after cancellation we were just debited $500 for an early termination fee. You also can not ever get hold of anyone in person to resolve any account issues. When the sales department is trying to get your business they are very attentive. Once you have issues, they completely ignore you! I strongly advise against using this company!

I joined this company around the first of September. We have processed $14,790.00 through 10/17/2023. We have never seen a deposit in our account. I contacted their support several times to requesting these funds be released. Never happened. All i got as far as a response was; “Management is reviewing this account, and we will get back to you once we get an update.” if they owe us the funds why no deposit. I have customers now wanting their money returned, just how messed up is this company? I suggest you find a different company this obviously has some issues.

I recently started using PAYARC for my online payment processing needs, and I must say it’s been a game-changer for my business. The platform’s user-friendly interface and seamless integration have made accepting payments a breeze. It has all the essential features I require, including secure transactions and real-time reporting.

PAYARC’s customer support team has been top-notch, always ready to assist whenever I have questions or need help. Their responsiveness and expertise have truly impressed me.

Since I switched to PAYARC, I’ve noticed a significant increase in customer satisfaction. The streamlined checkout process has reduced cart abandonment, and the various payment options available have catered to a broader audience.

I highly recommend PAYARC to any business seeking a reliable and efficient payment processing solution. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with them, and I look forward to continued success with their services.
