Company Overview

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, eProcessing Network is a software provider that offers in-store, online, and mobile payment acceptance products for merchants. eProcessing Network is not a merchant account provider; rather, it sells software and equipment that can be paired with a merchant’s existing credit card processor.

eProcessing Network Payment Gateway

Software products offered by the company include a secure payment gateway, virtual terminal services, mobile payment apps for smartphones and tablets, web order form generating, and fraud protection tools, among other services. It therefore has no backend processor or acquiring bank, and merchants will need to set up a merchant account through a separate company in order to accept credit and debit card payments with eProcessing Network.

Mobile Payment Processing

ePN provides mobile payment processing services for businesses that require flexibility in accepting payments. Merchants can use the ePNMobile app on their smartphones or tablets to process transactions, offering a convenient option for both customers and businesses.

Virtual Terminal

The eProcessing Network virtual terminal allows merchants to process payments using a web browser without the need for a physical POS system. The virtual terminal is suitable for businesses that accept mail order, telephone order, or face-to-face transactions, providing a versatile payment processing solution.

Recurring Billing

ePN offers a recurring billing service for businesses that need to charge customers on a regular basis, such as subscription-based companies. This feature allows merchants to set up automatic billing schedules, making it easy to manage repeat payments from customers.

Inventory Management

eProcessing Network provides inventory management tools to help businesses keep track of their products and stock levels. These tools can be integrated with the payment processing system, allowing merchants to maintain accurate inventory records and streamline their operations.

Security and Compliance

ePN ensures that its payment processing services comply with industry standards, such as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The company uses advanced encryption and tokenization methods to protect sensitive payment information and reduce the risk of fraud.

Location & Ownership

Steve Sotis is the president of eProcessing Network, which is located at 1415 N Loop W #1185, Houston, Texas 77054.

Low Complaint Total

We have located fewer than 10 negative eProcessing Network reviews, and some of these complaints accuse the company of being a ripoff. At least two of these complaints appear to have been mistakenly filed against eProcessing Network even though the client’s credit card processor was actually at fault. These complaints will therefore not count too heavily against the company. The most commonly cited issues are poor customer service, software malfunctions, and difficulty canceling service, but, again, it’s difficult to determine whether these issues were caused by eProcessing Network or by the merchant’s chosen payment processor. The customer service-related complaints do generally appear to stem from eProcessing Network’s team. If you have your own eProcessing Network review to make, please do so in the comments below.

eProcessing Network Lawsuits

We have not found any outstanding class-action lawsuits or FTC complaints filed against eProcessing Network. Dissatisfied clients who wish to pursue a non-litigious course of action against the company should consider reporting it to the relevant supervisory organizations.

eProcessing Network Customer Support Options

eProcessing Network offers phone support to all of its users, which exceeds the level of support offered by many of its peers.

eProcessing Network Customer Service Numbers

  • (800) 971-0997 – Toll-Free General Customer Service
  • (800) 296-4810 – Reseller Support

The company’s total number of complaints is low enough to warrant an “A” rating in our view.

eProcessing Network Online Ratings

Here's How They Rate Online

BBB Reports 7

Under 5 Complaints

eProcessing Network currently has an “A” rating with the Better Business Bureau and has been accredited since 2005. The company has received 4 complaints to its BBB profile in the past 3 years.

What Merchants Say

eProcessing Network has also received 3 informal reviews, all of which are negative. One recent complaint describes excessive charges and poor customer service:

They are bad. They think that 3500 charges for the same amount -$19.00 to the same customer over a period of 5 minutes is normal????? They do not use the latest encryption as relayed to me by Marcos the manager, will not call you RUN AWAY FROM THEM and I was with them for 6 years. They have no way to stop fraudulent attacks as it is not in their best interests to do so because they will be deduct a fee for each charge attempted weather approved or declined. Good Luck Gregg ****** RV LED LITES

Clients in this situation would be best served by one of our top processors for customer service.

An “A” Performance

Given the company’s complaint total and resolution ratio, we agree with the BBB’s rating at this time.

Beware Reseller Markups

eProcessing Network does not disclose its pricing or its contract terms on its website, so it is difficult to determine its wholesale pricing at this time. Most businesses will sign up for eProcessing Network through a reseller, meaning that their cost will be slightly marked up by the company reselling eProcessing Network’s products. One response to this complaint states that the company’s baseline costs are $8-$10 per month and $0.05 per transaction, which are standard payment gateway prices for the industry.

Month-to-Month Contracts

In response to a Better Business Bureau complaint, an eProcessing Network representative stated that the company offers month-to-month agreements with no early termination fees, which is similarly standard. In general, eProcessing Network appears to offer fairly competitive wholesale pricing for its products, but costs will vary from reseller to reseller. Businesses can maximize their savings by pairing eProcessing Network’s gateway with a cheap merchant account.

Inside Sales Team

eProcessing Network appears to primarily market itself through a reseller program and through strategic partnerships. The company does not provide merchant accounts, so it is largely exempt from the misleading rate quotes and tricky contract terms that are commonly attached to merchant accounts. There are no eProcessing Network reviews at this time that accuse the company’s sales team of deceptive conduct.

No Deceptive Quotes

The eProcessing Network website does not list any specific details about the eProcessing Network rates. At this time, it appears that any potential issues with incomplete pricing disclosure would almost certainly be caused by a reseller rather than by eProcessing Network. If you’re confused about your monthly bill from eProcessing Network, a third-party statement audit can help you identify and eliminate any unexpected fees.

Our eProcessing Network Review Summary

Our Final Thoughts

eProcessing Network rates as a reliable credit card processing provider according to our rating criteria. The company has received very few complaints over the years and appears to offer decent payment software. Businesses should be sure to keep in mind that eProcessing Network only provides payment gateways, virtual terminals, mobile apps, and other payment software. It is not a merchant account provider or a bank. eProcessing Network’s products may be especially suited for integration with top-rated payment processors for web development.

    Flower Business

PLEASE do NOT do business with this company!!

Believe us! This is coming from a small floral business that has been doing business with them for over a DECADE. Too many reasons to list reasons why transferring to new processor but will list one of the bigger reasons – our rep did not speak or reach out to us for over 5+ of those 10 years we were with them. When we reached out for help, was told “I tried to help you but you seemed too busy at the time.” What a joke after giving them thousands of dollars over the years, smh

Please folks do yourself a favor, go with someone else!!!!

  • Terrible credit card service provider !!!!! Rates are higher than most …. Hidden charges that are not spoke of when signing up ….pain to cancel …. stay away ….try another provider !!!

Horrible Company don’t even waste your time would never recommend this company to anyone. They cancelled transactions without letting my company know. This company is bad for business, and will keep you waiting on payments or just not pay at all.

    • My company has had issues and tickets with their service that have not been resolved in over 2 years. It’s become comical at this point and we are finally switching to another provider. ePN is an atrocious company with horrible service and support for their merchants. Avoid.

This Post Might Help: Best Merchant Accounts for Great Customer Service

We used the eprocessingnetwork for three years and when we wished to cancel our service we followed all of the closing procedures to close our gateway. Unfortunately for us, they failed to close the account and continued to charge our auto pay tenants. They claimed they didn’t receive the “Close ePN Gateway Account form, which I sent March 16th. Our tenants are being faced with overdrafts and late fees from their banks. They looked on their servers to see if I sent the email and the next day I received an email stating my closure form was sent through a Google Drive link and they couldn’t open it for security reasons. When I called and left a voicemail for a supervisor I was not called back. The next day I had to call to talk to one of their associates. He blamed me for not following up and making sure they closed the account. Nowhere in the instructions on the “Close ePN Payment Gateway Account” form does it specify not to send a link. They refuse to cover any of our fees from the merchant service charges or our tenants overdraft fees which have incurred due to their incompetence (and my trust in their company).

By far one of the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The company blatantly lied to me on the phone claiming my account would be refunded and would not be activated till the card processor was used. They continued to charge me for monthly fees for over 5 months after the claimed I would be refunded.

Called customer service, after they ignored numerous emails asking to cancel the account after they did not hold their initial guaranty. The representative then went on to be very rude and hung up the phone on me. Without giving me any help or necessary information how to get my refund. I never processed one single payment but was charged for 5 months of processing fees. Very unethical company and their customer service is horrible stay away from them.

  • They are not very professional. Their system crashed on a very busy day. Also, they made changes that we were not aware of. When called and asked why weren’t we informed about it, Leslie goes: “we don’t send e-mails out for every little thing”. This was not little, it affected the way we deal with our clients via e-mail.
Leslie, the girl who answers the calls in the morning, is very rude, unprofessional and has a lot of attitude. She does not know how to talk with customers. I would not hire her for 1 cent an hour. My boss called her once and and she was so rude that we decided to drop the whole thing and go with a different company. He asked to speak with her manager (I don’t know if they have such a person there), and she put him on hold for an hour. When he called back, she picked the phone and said the manager just stepped out of the office.
The guy, who picks the calls in the afternoon is better, but their service overall is bad. I would not recommend them.

  • It has always been a pleasure for us to work with eProcessing Network. Great gateway and very easy integrations available.
