Note: As of 2021, the EVO Payments brand has fully integrated Vision Payment Solutions into their company. As such, Vision Payment Solutions essentially no longer exists, and we will no longer be updating this profile.
Vision Payment Solutions is a merchant account provider based in Portland, Maine, that began operations in 2003. The company caters to large corporations as well as small businesses. In April 2017, EVO Payments International assumed operations for Vision Payment Solutions. Vision Payment Solutions should not be confused with Vision Bankcard, which is a completely unrelated company. As of 2021, it appears the Vision Payment Solutions brand has been wholly consolidated into parent company EVO Payments and no longer maintains a web presence. The Better Business Profile for Vision Payment Solutions is still active. (Lorazepam)
Vision Payments is located at 320 Cumberland Ave, Portland, Maine 04101 and is a registered ISO/MSP of Deutsche Bank AG, New York, and Eric Hannelius is listed as the company’s CEO.

Total Online Complaints | <10 |
Live Customer Support | Yes |
Most Common Complaint | N/A |
There are very few negative Vision Payment Solutions complaints online, and there’s no evidence that the company is a ripoff or a scam. The company has received only a handful of publicly listed complaints (with some more than five years old), and it has responded to some of these. Each Vision Payment Solutions complaint addresses a different kind of problem, and there is no overall trend to the issues described.
We have not found any outstanding class-action lawsuits or FTC complaints filed against Vision Payment Solutions. Dissatisfied merchants who wish to pursue a non-litigious course of action against the company should consider reporting it to the relevant supervisory organizations.
The company’s overall complaint rate is very low and its rate seems to have even slowed within the past year. Vision Payments is therefore awarded an “A” in this section. The company’s website lists a 24/7/365 help number, which appears to do an effective job compared to top-rated payment processors for customer service.

Vision Payment Solutions also has not received any informal reviews on its profile, though it should be noted that these reviews are not subject to verification by the BBB.

Virtual Terminal Rate | 1.00% - 4.99% |

Vision Payments appears to include an early termination fee of $250 in some of its equipment leases, but there is one available Vision Payment Solutions complaint from 2011 that mentions this fee. As of this update, there is only one other public complaint regarding Vision Payments contracts, and this complaint vaguely describes the addition of unauthorized fees.
One possible source of information about Vision Payment’s pricing for online transactions can be found on their website, but merchants should be aware that the table shown has been designed to promote the company rather than disclose its full rates. We have seen no definitive indication that Vision Payments’ pricing competes with the cheapest merchant accounts. If you have any information regarding Vision Payment Solutions’ contract terms, please leave it in the comment section below this review.
In addition to its storefront payment processing services, Vision Payment Solutions also dedicates a portion of its website to advertising its virtual terminal and payment gateway services. However, pricing is not disclosed on either of those services. Additional rates and fees, including gateway fees, technical support fees, batch fees, and additional transaction rates typically apply to these e-commerce services.

Key Points |
|
---|---|
Employs Independent Resellers | Yes |
Advertises Deceptive Rates | No |
Discloses All Important Terms | No |
Vision Payments appears to utilize independent sales agents to sell its services. This is a standard practice in the industry that often results in a team of unregulated agents who fail to disclose undesirable contract terms to merchants. However, there are almost zero Vision Payment Solutions complaints, and the available few don’t mention deceptive sales tactics as the issue. This may be due to the fact that Vision Payments does not appear to heavily market its credit card processing contracts, focusing instead on other merchant solutions like equipment leasing and mobile apps.
This compares favorably to our list of best credit card processors.
In any case, if you suspect that Vision Payments is overcharging you, we always recommend that merchants consider a third-party statement audit to find and eliminate hidden fees.
All available indicators suggest that Vision Payment Solutions is a reliable merchant services provider. There are nearly zero complaints registered against the company on public forums, and the company does not appear to engage in deceptive marketing tactics. As always, merchants are advised to carefully examine the language of any contract they are given and to compare Vision Payment Solutions’ pricing to that of top-rated credit card processors.

We have been with Vision Payment for over 9 years, since our local savings bank recommended them. We’ve never found anyone who has produced lower rates and our local representative has always been very responsive and helpful. I am not at all surprised to see across-the-board A’s for this company.

I have lost over $9,000.00 from Get R.V. com because you are holding my money and my clients
refund. Perhaps I should say you are holding Get R.V’s money, but in realty it is my money because it came from my clients and since you have it they are unable to pay me. I , along with 40 other people. This has driven Get R.V out of business and we are left holding the bag.
Sounds like a license to steal to me.
