BE AWARE: I experienced the most rude and worst customer service ever. A representative named Bobby called me to set up my account, and he was the most ignorant and arrogant customer service agent I’ve ever encountered.

They were very easy to work with and the team is incredibly knowledgeable. After being kicked off stripe for being too high risk I went on the hunt for someone reliable. I learned many things through the process of signing up, such as companies like Stripe don’t actually give you a merchant account; you are using theirs. Which is part of why they can just shut you down randomly. If you are trying to scale a business quickly I highly recommend easy pay direct.

Customer communication practices are deceptive and abusive. Refused to stop billing on cancelled accounts. No one answers the 1-800 number and you get different people on email who give you the run around. Their processing service paired us up with poor vendors and Easy Pay is simply a broker in the middle. They continue to bill us post cancellation and will not stop. Run for the hills.
Merchants in this situation should understand how to cancel their account without paying a fee.

A company representative has stated that Easy Pay Direct provides services through Electronic Payments Inc., PowerPay, and various offshore providers. The terms of its agreements (including PCI Compliance fees, monthly fees, and rate structures) will therefore vary greatly from merchant to merchant. Although the company usually offers a standard service length of three years, the same representative stated that Easy Pay Direct almost always charges no early termination fee, which minimizes the impact of a long-term agreement. The only case in which the company might charge an early termination fee is when it places a merchant with an offshore provider. This is similar to the providers of the best merchant accounts.

Easy Pay Direct lists a setup fee of $99, a monthly fee of $24.95, a swiped rate of 1.59% plus $0.17, a keyed-in rate of 2.39% plus $0.29, and an ACH rate of 1.6% plus $0.29 per transaction. Although we believe that interchange-plus pricing is more favorable to merchants than tiered pricing, there are no Easy Pay Direct complaints in which customers state that they feel deceived by its tiered pricing plan. In light of this information, we are awarding the company an “A” in this category for the time being, but Easy Pay Direct is not considered to be a provider of the cheapest merchant accounts.
