SMB Global Customer Reviews

Here's What Their Clients Say

Key Points

Total Online Complaints <10
Live Customer Support Yes
Most Common Complaint N/A

Low Complaint Total

We can locate only one negative SMB Global review at this time, which is a solid indicator that the company is not a ripoff or a scam. This lone SMB Global review mentions that the company declined to create an account for a company with more than 14% of its volume in international sales. SMB Global has only been operating for a few years, so its low complaint total may be the product of a small merchant base. However, high-risk providers tend to rack up more complaints than standard-risk providers due to their common policy of holding merchant funds. If you have your own SMB Global complaint to make, please do so in the comments below.

SMB Global Lawsuits

We have not found any outstanding class-action lawsuits or FTC complaints filed against SMB Global. Dissatisfied merchants who wish to pursue a non-litigious course of action against the company should consider reporting it to the relevant supervisory organizations.

SMB Global Customer Service Options

The fact that SMB Global has only received one public complaint reflects positively on the company. SMB Global also offers phone and email support for merchants on its website, which seems to do an effective job of resolving complaints in a timely fashion.

We have located multiple SMB Global customer service numbers:

(877) 748-9546 – Toll-Free General Customer Service
(800) 372-9313 – Fax

SMB Global offers a customer support form on its website as well as a customer service email at [email protected].

High-Risk Contracts Can Vary

There is very little publicly available information regarding the standard SMB Global contract at this time. The SMB Global contract terms are not available on its website, and we have not found any reports from merchants that mention specific contract terms.

As with most high-risk specialists, it is likely that SMB Global and its banking partners customize the pricing structure for each contract according to the merchant’s business type, time in business, and processing history. Tiered pricing covering qualified, mid-qualified, and non-qualified rates for merchants to conform with the level of their risk and the factors determined by it, including their credit history. As a general rule, high-risk business types can expect to pay higher-than-average per-transaction fees and may be required to establish a rolling reserve in order to open a merchant account.

No News Is Good News

High-risk merchant account providers like SMB Global might be the only option for merchants in certain industries, but you can still obtain competitive contract terms through the company as long as you know how to negotiate. For the time being, we will assume that the total lack of merchant complaints about SMB Global’s pricing indicates that most of the company’s merchants are satisfied with the rates they pay. If you have any knowledge of the standard SMB Global contract (including any early termination fees or PCI compliance fees), please share it in the comment section below this review. We also encourage merchants to check out our list of the providers of the best merchant accounts.

SMB Global Employee Reviews & Sales Tacitcs

Should You Work For Them?

Key Points

Employs Independent Resellers Yes
Advertises Deceptive Rates No
Discloses All Important Terms No

ISOs Done Right

SMB Global appears to market its services primarily through ISOs, independent agents, referral partnerships, and traditional advertising. The use of ISOs is commonly linked to elevated complaint rates, but we cannot find any SMB Global reviews related to the company’s sales team. This seems to suggest that the company exercises a good deal of control over the conduct of its resellers. This compares favorably to our list of best credit card processors.

No B.S. Promises

As an additional point in its favor, there are no misleading rate quotes or unrealistic promotions on the SMB Global website. SMB Global does not provide explicit details about its pricing to the public, but this is likely because its focus on providing merchant accounts for high-risk businesses requires custom pricing in most cases.

Our SMB Global Review Summary

Our Final Thoughts

Low Profile but High Quality

SMB Global rates as a reliable merchant service provider according to our rating criteria. The company has maintained a nearly clean complaint record in the relatively short period of time that it has been active, and it may be the only provider willing to take on certain merchant types like CBD. Merchants are encouraged to read all of their contract terms and negotiate aggressively in order to obtain the best deal.

Sales person didn’t even listen to me and was about to hang up, because the domain name of my email ends with “.eu”. After I stopped him and tried to explain that business is registered in US but serves EU customers, he said they don’t want >%14 of international payments coming in. PHEW! Who gave them A+ rating? It’s Z-
