High Risk Contracts Can Vary

There is very little publicly available information regarding the standard SMB Global contract at this time. The company does not provide its contract terms on its website, and we have not found any reports from merchants that mention specific contract terms.

As with most high risk specialists, it is likely that SMB Global and its banking partners customize the pricing structure for each contract according to the merchant’s business type, time in business, and processing history. Tiered pricing covering qualified, mid-qualified, and non-qualfied rates for merchants to conform with the level of their risk and the factors determined by it, including their credit history. As a general rule, high risk business types can expect to pay higher-than-average per-transaction fees and may be required to establish a rolling reserve in order to open a merchant account.

No News Is Good News

High risk merchant account providers like SMB Global might be the only option for merchants in certain industries, but you can still obtain competitive contract terms through the company as long as you know how to negotiate. For the time being, we will assume that the total lack of merchant complaints about SMB Global’s pricing indicates that most of the company’s merchants are satisfied with the rates they pay. If you have any knowledge of the standard SMB Global contract (including any early termination fees or PCI compliance fees), please share it in the comment section below this review.

SMB Global Complaints & Customer Reviews

Key Points

Total Online Complaints <10
Live Customer Support Yes
Most Common Complaint N/A

Low Complaint Total

We cannot locate any negative reviews about SMB Globalat this time, which is a solid indicator that the company is not a ripoff or a scam. This lone review mentions that SMB Global declined to create an account for a company with more than 14% of its volume in international sales. SMB Global has only been operating for a few years, so its low complaint total may be the product of a small merchant base. However, high risk providers tend to rack up more complaints than standard-risk providers due to their common policy of holding merchant funds.

SMB Global Lawsuits

We have not found any outstanding class-action lawsuits or FTC complaints filed against SMB Global. Dissatisfied merchants who wish to pursue a non-litigious course of action against the company should consider reporting it to the relevant supervisory organizations.

SMB Global Customer Support Options

The fact that SMB Global has only received one public complaint reflects positively on the company. SMB Global also offers phone and email support for merchants on its website, which seems to do an effective job of resolving complaints in a timely fashion.

Truth In Marketing & Advertising

Key Points

Employs Independent Resellers Yes
Advertises Deceptive Rates No
Discloses All Important Terms No

ISOs Done Right

SMB Global appears to market its services primarily through ISOs, independent agents, referral partnerships, and traditional advertising. The use of ISOs is commonly linked to elevated complaint rates, but we cannot find any SMB Global complaints related to the company’s sales team. This seems to suggest that the company exercises a good deal of control over the conduct of its resellers.

No B.S. Promises

As an additional point in its favor, there are no misleading rate quotes or unrealistic promotions on the SMB Global website. SMB Global does not provide explicit details about its pricing to the public, but this is likely because its focus on providing merchant accounts for high risk businesses requires custom pricing in most cases.

Our Opinion of SMB Global

Low Profile but High Quality

SMB Global rates as a reliable merchant service provider according to our rating criteria. The company has maintained a nearly clean complaint record in the relatively short period of time that it has been active, and it may be the only provider willing to take on certain merchant types like CBD. Merchants are encouraged to read all of their contract terms and negotiate aggressively in order to obtain the best deal.

Why I'm Qualified to Write About Credit Card Processing and Merchant Account Services

I'm a former credit card processing sales director who left the industry because I didn't like how it takes advantage of small business owners. It feeds like a leech on businesses and thrives by imposing fees that are nearly impossible to comprehend. Seeing a need for change, I left and built this website help business owners better understand the industry, research merchant services providers, and get refunds of excessive merchant account fees. My experience of working "behind the curtain" in the industry, and using that knowledge for good, has resulted in millions of dollars returned to hard-working small business owners as well as enterprise-level companies.

From the time that I starting working in the merchant services industry to when I left to create this website, I've been on the pulse of payments for nearly 15 years. It didn't seem fair to keep this "insider" knowledge to myself. To lift the fog, I've reviewed hundreds of companies, read thousands of user reviews, and learned the pricing tricks of every provider. If you have questions about credit card processing, you can find the answers on this website.

How I Can Help You

I specialize in helping businesses get refunds of excessive fees and have recovered $1,567,184 this year alone! Submit a recent statement below to find out if you are getting overcharged. I'll take a look at it for free. If I find fees that can be refunded, hire me on contigency. I only get compensated if I put money back into your pocket.
