  1. I operate a small nonprofit organization which used Approval Payment Solutions for more than 4 years. We did not realize that buried in the fine print of their contract is an automatic renewal for 2 years at a time subject to a cancellation fee. When we switched our services this spring to a more affordable company, Approval Payment Solutions took a $375 fee out of our bank account for early cancellation. Well shame on us for not reading the contract more carefully or remembering terms buried in fine print that we signed off on four years ago. But shame on them for engaging in a practice which is sneaky at best. We felt totally ripped off. We did business with this company for four years and they made a good profit off of us. I would not use them again and I would not recommend them to others. I realize that this is a practice that lots of companies are starting to use to lock you into contracts long term, but I consider it deceptive and a poor business practice.
