Approval Payment Solutions is an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau. As of this review, the company has an “A+” rating with the BBB and has had three complaints filed against it in the last 36 months. Two of the complaints stemmed from problems with products or services and one from billing or collection issues. All three complaints either were resolved to the dissatisfaction of the merchant or did not receive a final response from the merchant. The BBB also includes a lengthy note explaining that the company’s complaints typically mention “fees continuing to be charged after the cancellation of services, customers stating that they are unaware of the cancellation fee and/or automatic renewal service and that equipment purchased cannot be used after the cancellation of services.” Approval Payment Solutions has seen a dramatic decrease in its complaints (from 14 to 3) since the time of our last review, so we are hesitant to agree with the BBB’s rating at this time.

  1. Worst company to deal with! Been with them 12 years. Never can talk to a person. Have tried several times to cancel, always says my contract has not expired. I signed a 2 yr contract in the beginning. Self renewal contract every 2 years or 3 years..nobody knows! Fees have never been what they promised. Impossible to get out of contract!

  3. I operate a small nonprofit organization which used Approval Payment Solutions for more than 4 years. We did not realize that buried in the fine print of their contract is an automatic renewal for 2 years at a time subject to a cancellation fee. When we switched our services this spring to a more affordable company, Approval Payment Solutions took a $375 fee out of our bank account for early cancellation. Well shame on us for not reading the contract more carefully or remembering terms buried in fine print that we signed off on four years ago. But shame on them for engaging in a practice which is sneaky at best. We felt totally ripped off. We did business with this company for four years and they made a good profit off of us. I would not use them again and I would not recommend them to others. I realize that this is a practice that lots of companies are starting to use to lock you into contracts long term, but I consider it deceptive and a poor business practice.
