According to the company’s website, it offers Vital POS, NCR Silver, and Clover as POS systems and connects merchants to third party applications such a Magento, Woo Commerce, opencart, Shopify, NMI, eProcessing Network, and Authorize.Net.

Netcom PaySystem Pricing

The standard Netcom PaySystem contract is a month-to-month agreement with no early termination fees, annual fees, or monthly minimums. The company has previously offered an interchange-plus pricing model to merchants but has since removed that plan from its website. It is unclear whether or not Netcom PaySystem still offers interchange-plus pricing of any kind. The company’s website provides no disclosures on pricing in general. However, a complaint in the comment section of this review states that the company has recently added a $9.95 monthly PCI compliance fee.

Virtual Terminal and Payment Gateway Pricing

In addition to its storefront payment processing services, NetCom PaySystem also dedicates a portion of its website that advertises its virtual terminal and payment gateway services. NetCom PaySystem lists Magento, Woo Commerce, opencart, Shopify, NMI, eProcessing Network, and Authorize.Net as different third-party gateways partnered with the company. Pricing on of these services will vary depending on which of those payment gateways a merchant utilizes. Additional rates and fees, including gateway fees, technical support fees, and batch fees may apply to these e-commerce services.

Level 2 and Level 3 Processing Services

In addition to its traditional merchant services, NetCom PaySystem also advertises that it provides level 2 and level 3 processing for b2b and b2g transactions. Level 2 and level 3 processing rely upon different interchange rates than traditional consumer credit transactions. Accommodating those rates requires different payment processing technology from a merchant account provider to transmit the amount of data required to facilitate the transactions. These services are reserved for b2b and b2g purchases that utilize corporate credit cards.

Competitive Contract Terms

Even with this new fee, the company’s terms are remarkably competitive compared to industry averages, and they are likely responsible for the positive reviews that we have found about the company. Although Netcom is not considered to be one of the cheapest merchant accounts, the general lack of complaints about the company’s contract terms leads us to conclude that Netcom PaySystem offers fair processing rates and fees that are fully disclosed by its sales team.

Netcom PaySystem Complaints & Customer Reviews

Key Points

Total Online Complaints <10
Live Customer Support Yes
Most Common Complaint N/A

Clean Complaint Record

As noted above, we are mostly able to locate positive Netcom Paysystem reviews at this time, and there appears to be no evidence whatsoever that the company is a scam or a ripoff. Considering the fact that the company has been in business for over 25 years, this is an exceptional complaint rate that indicates a responsive customer service team, ethical sales policies, and competitive contract terms.

Netcom PaySystem Lawsuits

We have not found any outstanding class-action lawsuits or FTC complaints filed against Netcom PaySystem. Dissatisfied merchants who wish to pursue a non-litigious course of action against the company should consider reporting it to the relevant supervisory organizations.

Netcom PaySystem Customer Support Channels

Netcom PaySystem’s affiliated companies, United Check Services and United eSystems, also appear to have 0 complaints online, although it seems there is a telemarketing scam being operated by an unaffiliated person who sometimes claims to work for United Check Services. The company lists dedicated customer support phone lines on its website, but currently does not qualify as a top-rated merchant account provider for customer service.

No BBB Complaints

Netcom PaySystem has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau since 2007 and holds an “A+” score at this time of review. There are currently 0 complaints filed against the company in the last 36 months. An “A” Rating

Since it is our philosophy that “A+” ratings should be reserved for companies with 0 complaints, we agree with the BBB’s rating in this case. Merchants should be aware, however, that there is reason to be skeptical of the BBB’s reviews.

Truth In Marketing & Advertising

Key Points

Employs Independent Resellers Yes
Advertises Deceptive Rates No
Discloses All Important Terms Yes

Outside Sales Agents

Netcom PaySystem appears to partner with ISOs and independent agents to market its services. Generally speaking, this practice can result in a sales force composed of untrained, unregulated sales representatives who are motivated to sign merchants up for the most expensive contract possible. In the case of this company, however, we were unable to locate any Netcom PaySystem complaints that mention unethical behavior by the company’s sales force. In fact, most reviews of the company appear to be positive testimonials left in the comment section of this review as well as on other consumer protection websites.

“A” Rated For Now

The company’s overall pattern of positive feedback merits an “A” rating despite the confusing rate quotes on its website. Still, if you suspect that Netcom PaySystem is charging you undisclosed fees, we recommend seeking a third-party statement audit to find and eliminate hidden charges.

Our Opinion of Netcom PaySystem

An Excellent Option For Most Businesses

Netcom PaySystem rates as an exemplary merchant services provider according to our criteria. The company is showing generally positive reviews across all consumer protection websites and appears to place a premium on quality customer service, two factors that liken it to top-rated providers. Even when dealing with a highly rated credit card processor, merchants are encouraged to carefully examine all contract terms and negotiate the best deal they can (see: Fee Sweep).

Why I'm Qualified to Write About Credit Card Processing and Merchant Account Services

I'm a former credit card processing sales director who left the industry because I didn't like how it takes advantage of small business owners. It feeds like a leech on businesses and thrives by imposing fees that are nearly impossible to comprehend. Seeing a need for change, I left and built this website help business owners better understand the industry, research merchant services providers, and get refunds of excessive merchant account fees. My experience of working "behind the curtain" in the industry, and using that knowledge for good, has resulted in millions of dollars returned to hard-working small business owners as well as enterprise-level companies.

From the time that I starting working in the merchant services industry to when I left to create this website, I've been on the pulse of payments for nearly 15 years. It didn't seem fair to keep this "insider" knowledge to myself. To lift the fog, I've reviewed hundreds of companies, read thousands of user reviews, and learned the pricing tricks of every provider. If you have questions about credit card processing, you can find the answers on this website.

How I Can Help You

I specialize in helping businesses get refunds of excessive fees and have recovered $1,567,184 this year alone! Submit a recent statement below to find out if you are getting overcharged. I'll take a look at it for free. If I find fees that can be refunded, hire me on contigency. I only get compensated if I put money back into your pocket.

  1. Brad Shipp says:

We use Netcome PaySystem and have been very happy with their service and the system. I would recommend to anyone that wants to save a lot of money on their credit card processing.

They are very helpful and never have any issues with our transactions.

  2. Michael Mack says:

PCI Compliance fees were just added as of today – 8-16-2016. $9.95 per month for some product called DataGuardian – and the cost is mandatory. Up till now we rated this company 5 stars. Excellent service. Now with the added $120 per year we will be looking elsewhere. Hopefully they will update their review descriptions to show this newly added PCI fee – which is exactly what this is.

  3. Mary says:

Does Netcom Paysystem have an app that integrates with Quickbooks Online yet?

    1. Robert says:

They can integrate with QB in general but not QB POS or QB online. Those are proprietary to Intuit and they don’t let anybody in.

  4. Netcom has helped my business greatly. With their program I have been able to eliminate PCI fees, they have put me on a very fair pricing program, service has be very professional and I’m not locked into any contract. I would recommend them to any business that’s looking for a better all around program. Reach out to them, they actually call you back, unlike my old credit card company.

  5. Marilyn Walker says:

We use Netcom for 3 companies that we own and have been using them for about 15 months. We are saving a considerable amount of money. We have never experienced any issues since switching to Netcom…I just wish we had done it sooner!

  6. Kay Perret says:

I spent several hours online this morning researching credit card-processing companies. I looked at seven companies total, and Sam at Netcom PaySystem stood head and shoulders above all the others. Prompt responses to all my questions, friendly (even in ‘chat mode’), and professional. Reasonable pricing all upfront, no hidden costs.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has numerous credit card transactions per month.
