Echoing complaints about the company’s sales practices, TransVia was named as the defendant in a class-action lawsuit filed against the company in the matter of Naiman v. Tranvia, LLC. The basis of the lawsuit alleges that the company executed a robo-dialer campaign against its merchants at their businesses, residences, and on their cell phones. The suit asserts that this action was in violation of the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act. However, the suit was dismissed in favor of the company in 2017.
