Multiple Pricing Plans
Diligent Payments offers three pricing plans for merchants: its Drive, Direct, and Domain plans.
The Drive plan is intended for swipe/retail payment environments and charges interchange plus 0.25% plus $0.10 per transaction and $10 per month.
The Direct plan is intended for keyed-in/MOTO payment environments and charges interchange plus 0.35% plus $0.15 per transaction, a $10 monthly fee, and a $10 payment gateway fee.
The Domain plan is intended for e-commerce payment environments and charges interchange plus 0.45% plus $0.20 per transaction, a $10 monthly fee, and a $10 payment gateway fee. All plans come with month-to-month contracts and no early termination fees.
Virtual Terminal and Payment Gateway Pricing
In addition to its storefront payment processing services, Diligent Payments also dedicates a portion of its website to advertising its virtual terminal and payment gateway services. However, pricing on either of those services is not disclosed. Additional Diligent Payments rates and fees, including gateway fees, technical support fees, batch fees, and additional transaction rates typically apply to these e-commerce services.
No Red Flags
We cannot find any Diligent Payments complaints related to the company’s pricing, and there’s no reason to believe that the company’s clients are dissatisfied with their pricing at this time. Diligent Payments does not disclose its leasing policy on its website, so business owners should be sure that they are not signing up for long-term, non-cancellable equipment leases. The company’s pricing and flexibility are on par with most other low-cost, interchange-plus merchant accounts, which has earned it an “A” in this category.

No Hiring Mill Practices
Diligent Payments does not appear to maintain a large team of independent sales agents or a major outbound telemarketing operation. The company is still relatively young, which means that most of its sales representatives will be in-house, full-time employees. We have not found any Diligent Payments reviews that describe deceptive sales practices or aggressive tactics, and the company’s Payline Data pedigree is an encouraging indicator that it does not engage in unethical conduct.
This compares favorably to our list of best credit card processors.
Transparent Rate Quotes
Diligent Payments fees for per-transaction and monthly rates are on its website for anyone to view. The company primarily offers interchange-plus pricing, which is the most transparent pricing model available. Although its fee table may not be totally inclusive of all of its possible fees, it does reveal most of the company’s primary costs in a straightforward way. If you have been charged higher fees than you expected from Diligent Payments, you can double-check your monthly statement with a third-party statement audit.
