Note: As of January 2022, the One Connect Processing website is down and the BBB lists the company as out of business. We believe the company is out of business and will no longer be updating this profile. If you have any information to the contrary, please let us know in the comments below.

One Connect Processing Overview

Based in Portland, Oregon, One Connect Processing is a merchant account provider that resells First Data (Fiserv) contracts. There is no record of the company’s website before 2019, and the company does not provide any details about its ownership or history to the general public.

Possible Affiliated Companies

One Connect shares an exact address with a merchant cash advance provider called Mom and Pop Merchant Solutions. This address is the location of a virtual office, which means that multiple companies may list it; it is also worth noting that the low-rated processors Riverside Payments, National Paymentech, United Card Solutions, National Card Solutions, Chyp, and Securus also operate out of the Portland area.

Possible PayPartners DBA

One commenter has suggested that the company is connected to a processor called Tru Blu Pay (trublupay.com), and both the One Connect Processing website and the Tru Blu Pay website share strong similarities with the website of PayPartners, yet another low-rated payment processor in Portland. A few online complaints about One Connect Processing refer to a sales representative named “Jon E*******”, who may be Jon Erickson, a National Card Solutions sales agent who is the subject of frequent online complaints. In fact, the bulk of the available evidence strongly suggests that One Connect Processing and Tru Blu Pay are both DBAs of PayPartners, which is itself a rebranding of National Card Solutions.

One Connect Processing Location & Ownership

One Connect Processing is headquartered at 1050 SW 6th Ave #1100, Portland, Oregon 97204, and does not list its acquiring bank. One Connect Processing does not disclose the names of its management team.

Customer Reviews & Sentiment

Low Complaint Total

We are currently able to locate a handful of One Connect Processing complaints, some of which accuse the company of being a ripoff or a scam. Commonly cited issues include persistent telemarketing, undisclosed fees, misrepresented rates, poor customer service, and difficulty canceling service. These complaints are very similar in tone to those filed against United Card Solutions, National Card Solutions, and Riverside Payments.

One Connect Processing Lawsuits and Fines

One Connect Processing was named as a defendant in two 2020 lawsuits concerning First Data and excessive robocalling. One such class-action suit was dismissed, while the other is ongoing as of the writing of this review. Dissatisfied merchants who wish to pursue a non-litigious course of action against the company should consider reporting it to the relevant supervisory organizations.

One Connect Processing Customer Service Options

The One Connect Processing website provides an email contact form for customer support but does not list a dedicated customer support number. We will assign One Connect Processing a “C” rating in this category, and the company’s current customer support options do not qualify it as a top-rated customer service processor.

What Merchants Say

One Connect Processing has also received 1 informal review. The most recent complaint claims One Connect does not handle its own accounts:

They do not handle their own accounts in house. They “outsource” their information to Merchant Solutions. Merchant Solutions, however is not a credit card processing company. They are invariable paper pushers and will 24-48 hour your service needs to death IF you can even get someone who knows what paperwork to submit and/or the proper protocol regarding your request. I would recommend that you avoid this company, both One Connect & Merchant Solutions at all cost.

Merchants who find themselves in this position may benefit from taking the appropriate steps to cancel their account without paying a fee.

A “C” Performance

Given the company’s complaint record, we agree with the BBB’s rating at this time.

Card Processing Rates & Fees

Three-Year Contract

According to merchant complaints and official documentation (available below), One Connect Processing’s standard contract is a three-year agreement through First Data (Fiserv) with a $495 early termination fee, a four-year lease with a $79 monthly fee, and an effective per-transaction rate between 5% and 10% of all transactions. Most merchant complaints describe hidden fees and higher rates than they were initially presented, but none of them have explicitly listed the full array of unexpected costs in their monthly bill. We encourage merchants to check out our list of the providers of thebest merchant accounts.

Industry-Average Pricing

The combination of a three-year contract with a $495 termination fee and a four-year lease totaling over $3,500 is an undesirable set of terms that merchants should reject outright. This pricing model is restrictive and expensive, and we do not consider One Connect Processing’s pricing to be competitive with the cheapest merchant accounts. See the One Connect Processing North Program Guide and the One Connect Processing Wells Fargo Program Guide.

Bottom Line

An Average Choice for Most Merchants

According to all available information, One Connect Processing rates as an average to below-average merchant services provider. The company appears to engage in sales tactics that are associated with low-rated providers, and its contract terms are more expensive than industry averages. Merchants are strongly encouraged to thoroughly examine the terms of any contract they are given and to compare its pricing to top-rated merchant account providers.
