East Commerce Solutions Inc. (eastcommercesolutions.com) is small merchant account and business financial services provider based in East Providence, Rhode Island.  For a small provider, East Commerce Solutions has been in business for quite some time with a founding year of 1994.  Among supplying credit card processing services, this merchant account provider offers a wide array services and products including camera surveillance equipment.

As of this review, East Commerce Solutions is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau despite 17 years in business.  The BBB is reporting a “B-“ rating for with 33 complaints filed the last three years.  Of the 33 East Commerce Solutions complaints, 22 are regarding billing and collection issues. Which seem to match the type of complaints outside of the BBB.

This reviewer found about a dozen other complaints filed against East Commerce Solutions elsewhere online, along with a few comments praising the company.  Like the BBB complaints, there was a common theme of merchants having billing related problems.  In particular, there were several merchants that reported incurring monthly fees for extended periods of time after cancelling service with East Commerce Solutions.   There were also a few complaints about a three service agreement with a $495 early termination penalty.  One complaint even seemed to indicate that sales agents could build in their own cancellation fees on top of East Commerce Solutions’; however, this has not been verified.

East Commerce Solutions is a registered ISO/MSP of Elavon and acts as a reseller of Elavon merchant accounts, so merchant may want to consider reading the Elavon review.
